Shattered Love!
She was a drop of rain vanished in the oceans,
My precious pearl lost in the desert dunes,
Flooded away like a river into the sea,
Seeped like sweat out of my body.
She was a drop of rain vanished in the oceans,
My precious pearl lost in the desert dunes,
Flooded away like a river into the sea,
Seeped like sweat out of my body.
Your charming accent a soothing lullaby,
The sparkling smile a sweet melody.
Sweet days spent in pleasing harmony.
Left me alone in lonesomeness,
Who looks at my helplessness?
My life enveloped into darkness.
The lovable memories bright forever,
Your likeness shimmering on every tear,
Walking on the stark landscapes of fear.
I look at my shadow burning in distress,
My heart breaking into million fragments,
I see my hopes ending up in trashes.
The agony sonnet I sing,
I hear the bells of death ring,
I’m ready to take the final wing.
Will I see you before I see my last day?
Will you come before my soul vaporizes?
Your presence has the essence of life.
I miss you.
My life that has no stars, no laughter, no sleep without you.
This one is so beautiful. The last 2 lines are lonely and powerful. They are like music. One mark of a great writer is his vulnerability. Such a tender, honest cry. Beautifully done, Suman!
